2022 '1314ad' Pinot Noir

Established by Stuart Hooper in 1974, Bannockburn Vineyards in Geelong, has been one of the trailblazers of Australian fine wine, producing vineyard specific wines of the highest quality from the start. Since 2015, Matt Holmes has been at the wheel and the results we have tasted so far are stunning. Matt obviously has big shoes to fill, but with the kind experience he has behind him (25+ vintages in the Northern and Southern hemispheres), we are sure he will make his own mark at Bannockburn Vineyards.

A very classically sappy, spicy and racy Pinot with the kind of hearty disposition so typical of Bannockburn. The stem influence is there but it's in the slipstream of a vibrant, punchy texture with plenty of fresh, dark cherry fruit to go with those sappy notes.
