The vineyards are some of the first planted in Orange by pioneer of the region Murray Smith. Murray makes small quantities of different blends and batches. The 2010 Cabernet Merlot is a beautiful example of how cool climate Cabernet and blends perform in the cool climate of Orange.
Gently layered together are ripe black fruits of currant and juicy mulberries intermingled with soft generous tannins. The bottle age shows in the tawny colour of the wine as well as in the delicate soft burst of fruit and gentle acid.
